Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Two of the nation’s leading AAPI public officials sit down to discuss AAPIs in government and public service, and the news and potential angles leading through next year when AAPIs take to the polls.  Lanhee Chen is a leading, nationally-recognized AAPI Republican who served as Policy Director on Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.  He is currently a fellow at the Hoover Institution, a professor at Stanford University, and serves as a presidentially-nominated and Senate-confirmed member of the Social Security Advisory Board.  Deputy Secretary of Labor Chris Lu is one of the highest ranking AAPIs in the Obama Administration. Prior to the Labor Department, he served for four years as the White House Cabinet Secretary.  Lu also led the 2008 transition team that resulted in the most AAPI Cabinet secretaries ever to serve at one time.  As children of immigrant parents, both Chen and Lu have compelling stories that led them to public service.  Learn about the decisions they made that brought them leadership success.
